New location opening in Berlin, MA!
By Lise Fracalossi
After much searching, I’ve found just what Red Trillium Gardens needs – a space to grow and sell plants that isn’t my own small and difficult-to-find backyard!
I’m excited to announce that I’m setting up a storefront at 29 Sawyer Hill Rd in Berlin, MA (sharing the space with Garden Easy, another small nursery). This location has a long history, with commercial greenhouses on this spot since the 19th century. Really makes me feel like I’m carrying on a tradition!
Come kick it off with us on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10am to 4pm. We will have a large selection of our plants available – more than what we typically bring to markets, but less than our entire collection. Depending on weather, we’ll be either inside the greenhouse or outside in the yard (or both!)
Come say hi, buy plants, and nerd out about botany with me! (Have I told you lately how cool milkweeds are?)
After the grand opening, I plan to have regular hours two or three days a week – times still tbd! If there are hours you’d like us to be open, let me know. As I’m only one person, and my market schedule is erratic, we are hoping to have a self-service option available when we’re not open.
“But Lise, does this mean you won’t be in Lunenburg any more?” Absolutely not! I live in Lunenburg, after all, and I have no plans to change that. I will always have a good number of plants at my house, including ones that need more TLC than I can provide at a distance. But this location will provide advantages beyond what a basement plant dungeon, deck, and pallets in my backyard can provide!
I hope to see you on August 22nd – and wish me luck!
